Baptism
Baptismal preparation classes are held on the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Church. Registration for the class involves a call to the Parish Office. At the class, the parents will provide the child’s name, parent’s names, religion, Godparents names, and desired date for baptism. Godparents are encouraged to attend the meeting. All parents asking for their children to be baptized must attend a Baptismal prep class.
Baptismal classes begin with a welcoming prayer, introductions of all attendees, and the question: Why do you want your child baptized and why are you attending today? The discussions are warm and parents learn the responsibility in asking for Baptism for their children.
Baptisms take place on 2nd and 4th Sundays immediately following the 10:30 a.m. Mass.
Baptismal prep class is an evening to understand and prepare for the responsibility involved in raising your child as a member of Christ’s family and a beautiful experience that leads to the foundation of the child’s walk with God.
